The Swiss director Fabrice Gorgerat, artistic director of Cie. Jours tranquilles,presents a turbulent black comedy based on texts by the up-andcomingstar of the West African literary scene Dieudonné Niangouna. Itunites actors from Belgium, Switzerland, the Ivory Coast and Burkina Fasoon stage. Having toured West Africa this May, they now present theEuropean premiere of «Poiscaille Paradis (cel. 827 63 53)» at the festival.The title refers to the name and phone number of a shabby fishmonger’srun by a rather strange family. Their chaotic but seemingly successfulbusiness has us suspect that there must be a real big fish hiding behindthe counter. (ron/esc)
